#6 Sprint 2: Initiated


Part one: Done!

Unique Characters: 

Momentarily, each character is recognizable by their unique color pattern as seen in the GIF above.

And even though this is already pretty cute, we  thought that we could take it one step higher and make them even more unique. And what is a more iconic accessory than a hat? I thought so. We decided to give each character their own name together with a fitting outfit. Curious how our little friends are called? Stay tuned!

Side boundaries + double jump:

One consideration we made was about the left and right border. We came to the conclusion that players should not be able to jump outside  of the window and thus we restricted that by introducing some boundaries. Good news is: we made them reset the current jump count so players can turn this limitation into an extension of their gameplay and actually outmaneuver their opponents. 

Jetpack:

Here's a little show of the current functionality of the jetpack. Do mind that animations are yet to be applied.

Coming soon

  • The Character names & unique appearances
  • Visualization of the game loop by showing  a start and end to the parallax
  • an extra heavy chargeable attack using the squirrels tail
  • Lots and lots of particles
