#4 Production


Fully in production!

Last week summarized 7 Days ago we informed you that we fell short on a stable general prototype to prove our project being something fun and accomplishable. This week we can tell you that the finished prototype got received well and that we got a green light to fully start the production phase! Want to find out what prototype we are talking about? Additionally, we went over some of the artists' work like the character design, the HUD & UI, and more...
This week that character design got used to create a model, the HUD & UI got implemented, a particle system got created, and do you still remember the parallax camera? Yes, it got enhanced with some high-quality textures.

Isn't he looking adorable!? Visualize some small personal clothing accessories and these little squirrels will totally steal your heart. But don't think about how they're hitting each other! Oh and don't focus on the cuteness too much! Okay... just focus on your race!

Wind particle system Wind particle system

relatively simple (easy for me to say since I did not make it ;) ) way to add some realism is particles. This wind particle system is created using Niagara. The 'small' things like these really make the difference in getting the game to feel alive and dynamic.

Parallax textures

Having a functional parallax is one thing, but tiling textures are even more necessary to achieve a clean result. With these textures, this will certainly be the case.

MORE platform models

Now, what did you expect? Of course will there be more and more platforms on a weekly basis. But no worries, if everything goes according to plan, next week will the last platforms will be created.
